Multi-award-winning producer extraordinaire Chad Brincheski is the inspirational leader of ESP Inc, one of Canada’s premier producers of Charity Events, and the winner of the “Best Event for a High Profile Charity” at the 23 annual Canadian Event Awards for “Laugh Out Loud Benefitting Trillium Health Partners Foundation.”
For the Eighth anniversary of Laugh Out Loud, ESP inc. paid homage to the Emoji, which inspired the name when they initially created the event back in 2012.
Howie Mandel hosted the inaugural event and came back for this one, and it felt fitting to bring it back full circle. America’s Got Talent host delivered a dose of laughter to Mississauga & west Toronto at the 8th Annual LOL Gala and helped to raise a remarkable $1 million for Trillium Health Partners (THP)
The event was held at the Toronto Congress Centre on Feb. 29, 2020, & featured the musical talents of Broadway star Tony Vincent, hors d’oeuvres by celebrity chef Massimo Capra and Family Feud Canada host Gerry Dee emceed the night.
The “face with tears of joy” Emoji was the inspiration for the night’s theme. A bright yellow carpet welcomed guests to the Cocktail Reception, where they were greeted by a giant Emoji inflatable – the perfect Instagram-able moment. Laughter is key! Every event detail was designed to evoke that emotional response… from the Emoji-wrapped McLaren photo-op to the specialty cocktail; choice of an emcee: entertainment; headline talent; comedic auctioneer; and dessert garnish.
As with all fundraising events, raising money is vital. ESP worked with the hospital to engage sponsors and work with them to incorporate their brand into the event theme. The team also re-imagined the silent auction into a boutique-inspired shopping experience, engaged an auctioneer who inspired guests to give, and secured a Champagne sponsor to offer every raffle ticket purchaser a glass of bubbly. Their ideas paid off, and the on-site fundraising doubled in 2020
