Quest AV, renowned for their audiovisual expertise, clinched the Best Audio Visual Award in 2023 for their remarkable contribution to The Journal of Commerce’s annual TPM event at the Long Beach Convention Center in California.
The key objective was to enhance attendee engagement. Quest achieved this by collaborating closely with the client in pre-production and designing an innovative stage to display content optimally during plenary sessions.
Another goal was to boost sponsorship opportunities, which Quest helped the client achieve by creating flawless, custom-designed digital signage renderings, which empowered them to leverage external sponsorship opportunities effectively.
Highlights and Unique Features
The team took to the road with two trailers full of 80,000 lbs of gear and made the trek from Toronto to Long Beach. In total, 48 crew members from Quest were on-site supporting this massive event, which spanned three venues and multiple installations.
The event was executed with hybrid elements, including pre-recorded and live remote panellists. The main room sessions were recorded with multiple camera angles, post-edited, and provided to the client for broader media dissemination. In addition to the custom-designed super stage, the team at Quest built uniquely designed projection screens and external monitors to display a live Twitter feed and a secondary broadcast of sessions.
Because this event took place at the tail end of the pandemic, strict health and safety measures were in place, including full vaccination status for all personnel, negative rapid tests, mandatory mask-wearing, and regular testing facilities for attendees.
Inspired to elevate the event experience, Quest’s exemplary work at the TPM event not only demonstrated their technical prowess but also their ability to adapt creatively and logistically to challenging circumstances, earning them the well-deserved Best Audio Visual Award 2023.
