A New Season for Canada’s Standout Venues
The Canadian Venue Awards are moving to June 2027, with a new summer entry period
and winners celebrated at the Gala in October.
Canada has incredible places to host events. We want more people to know about them.
Some venues impress you the moment you walk in. Others win you over when you meet the team, attend an event or see how much thought goes into the experience. The Canadian Venue Awards celebrate all of that: the spaces, the people and the details that make planners want to come back.
For our next competition, we’re giving Canada’s venues a season of their own. Moving beyond the busy spring event awards season creates a dedicated time to discover outstanding spaces, share their stories and recognize the teams behind them.
There is so much to celebrate across Canada, from restaurants and independent spaces to hotels, cultural landmarks and convention centres. Each brings something different to the events it hosts. Through CVA, we want to help more of these venues get noticed and give planners more places to discover.
The new summer entry period also gives venue teams more time to gather their best work and prepare an entry they’re proud of. Great photos tell part of the story. So do the thoughtful details, creative solutions and moments of hospitality that make an event memorable. We want to hear about those, too.
Entries will open in June 2027, leading to a celebration of this year’s winners at the Gala in October. Our goal is to build a competition that venue teams are proud to enter and that planners turn to when choosing where to host their next event.

Winners Announcement
Winners of the 2027 Canadian Venue Awards will be announced at the Gala in October 2027. Gala details will be shared closer to the date.

The judging panel represents diverse events and venue specialists from across Canada.
Fees
Each entry fee is $325 per category entry. Venues can enter more than one category
THE ENTRY PROCESS
Step 1:Create an Account & Register
Click Enter Now to create a Zealous account or log in. Read and accept the guidelines, enter your venue name and category as the entry title, choose the matching category, and complete payment. The fee is $325 per category entry.
Step 2: Complete the Entry Form
After payment, answer the questions about your venue’s features, services, and experiences. You can save a draft and finish later. To return, log in to the same Zealous account, click your account icon, and choose My Submissions.
Step 3: Upload Supporting Materials
Upload the high-resolution images and supporting files requested for your category. Label files with your venue name and category, and include photo credits where required. For videos, provide accessible YouTube or Vimeo links instead of uploading video files.
Step 4: Review and Submit Your Entry
Check your answers and files, then click Submit for each entry. You’ll receive a confirmation email. Make sure each entry is marked Submitted, not Draft. Submit all completed entries by December 18, 2026.
Entering more than one venue or category? Create a separate entry for each venue in each category. You can pay for several entries at once, then choose Entry Credit from the payment options when adding another entry.
